About the program:
This program discusses the importance of women and the importance of them
participating in their retirement plans. Women are usually the caretakers of the
household, likely live longer than their counterpart, and often might end up with little
savings. This session will discuss the importance of women knowing about their rights
to participate in an Employer sponsored retirement plan, understand the significance of
knowing the plan rules, and lastly understand what to do in the event a problem
presents itself in their retirement plan.
About the speaker:
Benefits Advisor Sarah Guerricagoitia started with the Social Security Administration in
2018 as a Benefits Authorizer after graduating from the University of Missouri Kansas
City with a degree in Interpersonal Communications. Ms. Guerricagoitia transitioned to
her current position as a Benefits Advisor in the Kansas City Regional Office Outreach
Education and Assistance unit in 2019 and has been protecting the health and
retirement benefits of the American people.
